What do squirrels sound like in an attic?

Squirrel activity often sounds like fast running, scratching, rolling, or chewing near roof edges, soffits, or ceilings. Sound alone does not confirm the species — an inspection can confirm what is using the space.

Are squirrels more active during the day?

Daytime activity is common with squirrels, and noise is often noticeable in the early morning and late afternoon. Daytime sound may indicate squirrels, but other wildlife can also be active during daylight.

Can the opening be sealed immediately?

Not always. Permanent closure is appropriate only after the inspection determines whether adult squirrels or dependent young may still be inside and whether other entry routes exist.
